Sally Haslanger zählt zu den Wegbereiterinnen des Feminismus in der analytischen Philosophie und insbesondere der feministischen Metaphysik. Sie hat darüber hinaus maßgeblich zu einer Wiederbelebung des Interesses an Fragen der Sozialtheorie beigetragen, die von großem Belang für feministische und antirassistische soziale Bewegungen sind, in großen Teilen der analytischen Philosophie allerdings lange Zeit ein Schattendasein gefristet hatten.

Anlässlich der Veröffentlichung der deutschsprachigen Übersetzung einer (von Daniel James herausgegebenen) Sammlung von Sally Haslangers einflussreichsten Aufsätzen sprechen wir in dieser Folge über einige zentrale Themen ihrer Sozialtheorie: Sozialkonstruktion, gender und race, sowie Sozialstruktur, Kultur und Ideologie.
